Flufftronix

Last summer while DJing at Philly’s Medusa lounge I was approached by the gentlemanly Flufftronix. He gave me love for my set (funky disco and classic house, mostly) and told me a bit on what he was up to- writing tracks and a blog for iheartcomix, a label that shared our 6th Degree of Kevin Bacon (Lauren Flax, creator of last year’s final house hurrah, the excellent You’ve Changed). Little did I know that he would later join us for a guest DJ set.

The boombastic Flufftronix started out producing beat-heavy remixes that got so much attention in Bloomington, Indiana, he was able to bring artists like Flosstradamus and DJ Assault to his college town. Now residing in Philadelphia, this Chicago native drops a Loudcrowd playlist that draws from his wide variety of tastes- D.I.Y. punk, early house, and Baltimore breaks to name a few.
