I survived 2008

I’m going to make the uncharacteristically optimistic statement that we’re coming to the end of a good year, considering that we have the guy in office that promised us some kind of change. It is kind of exciting to be at the precipice, waiting to see what kind of change that is. No more war? Health care for all? It’s remarkable to think about either of those things coming to fruition (and there are certainly many battles left to be fought) but since we are hopefully coming upon the END of an era of skepticism and distrust, I’m focusing on the positive. This was a fucking good year for music, so I’ve asked a few Loudcrowd staffers to choose their standout selections that made the year of awaiting somewhat tolerable—and ask YOU which pick truly deserves the title of Best of 2008.
