LIKE WHAT by TELONIUS

This is somewhat of a part two from a pick I posted a couple months back when I first discovered my love for Gomma’s newest newbie, Telonius.  After developing an instant addiction to their cosmic disco version of “Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick,” I went on a rampage trying to find anything I could hopefully throw into my record bag.  But I had to wait for what I really wanted, which is this:  “Like What.”  Like this?  Exactly.

It’s those same bubblegum vocals that I shamelessly fell for at the first listen of “Rhythm Stick” that had me stuttering all over again.  Since coming into my possession, I have managed to slip this track into every set I’ve had, even breaking my own rule of never playing a song twice in one night. But in my own defense, it was the dub version that sparked my set and The Glimmers Remix that ended things that night.  Telonius has seriously brought out a major OCD side of me that I have always kept in the dark.  I’m just hoping they hurry up and get a full album going because I can’t do this much longer.  I’m starting to come across as their publicist.  Not a good look for a DJ.
