Last week, we at Loudcrowd played host on our final joint effort with Modular at their weekly bash Downtown Downturn. Resident DJ and label lady Jen Amadio (aka Cliktrax Jen) got the night going nicely and had me asking through most of her set, “What is THIS??” DJ Fucci and I jumped on and followed up with what we do best (we like to think so at least), giving the crowd a healthy dose of disco-laced dance jams in an attempt to set the stage for the almighty Rok 1 of NYC’s own, The Bangers. The avatars would have approved, and possibly even sent a dance or two.

We’re a bit sad to see our party partnership come to a close as it’s been somewhat of a blast sharing the shrubbery-lined B.East space with our Aussie friends. But make no mistake, we will be spending plenty of time with Modular online and around town. Downtown Downturn returns this week with guest DJs Diskokaine (Austria), The Old Seadog and Pete Miszuk.
