LOUDCROWD PICK OF THE WEEK: HERCULES AND LOVE AFFAIR SHADOWS

Exactly one ear ago, Hercules and Love Affair released the now club anthem “Blind.”  They released a single which featured the original, two Frankie Bones remixes, a Serge Santiago remix, the essential “club” mix, and one additional track that for some reason or another, was excluded from the album that dropped a month later.

I loved it the first time I heard it, which I have to admit, was long after the Blind single came out.  The worst part is that I actually had it in my possession the whole time without realizing it.  It came to me in the form of a b-side to a white vinyl 7inch, given to me by a pal who just so happened to do the vocals for the track.  And it’s those vocals that seriously makes “Shadows” just as good 12 months later.  Revisit this one if you haven’t lately.
